From thrilling baseball games to a mouthwatering pork chop dinner there's something for everyone to enjoy. So mark your calendars, gather your friends and family, and join us for a weekend filled with laughter, community spirit, and unforgettable memories.

Event Highlights:

Thursday -

1. Fairfax Royalty Event: 7pm Community Center -  Witness the crowning of our town's finest at the Miss Fairfax coronation ceremony! Join us as we celebrate the contestants and community spirit in this time-honored tradition. Cheer on our contestants and see who will be crowned as the next ambassador of Fairfax!

2. Medallion Hunt Clue #1: Join the fun of the community wide treasure hunt! Each day a new clue will be posted to lead you closer to the hidden medallion hidden somewhere in the city. The lucky locater wins a prize and bragging rights!

Friday -

3. Library Used Book Fair: 9am - 1pm Calling all bookworms and literary enthusiasts! Dive into a world of literary treasures at the Library Used Book Fair, happening all weekend long! Browse through shelves stacked with pre-loved books of every genre, from classic novels to contemporary bestsellers, all waiting to find a new home in your personal library. It's the perfect opportunity to stock up on reading material for the summer months ahead!

4 . Medallion Hunt Clue #2 Fairfax Fire Hall Door: 5pm

5. Pork Chop Dinner, Memorial Park 5:30pm: Indulge your taste buds with the savory delights of our annual pork chop dinner! Sizzle your way through juicy cuts of pork, perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. With sides aplenty, this is one feast you won't want to miss.

6. Open Swim, 5:30 - 7:30pm:  Immerse yourself in the cool waters of the Fairfax Swimming Pool! Everyone is welcome to enjoy an evening at the pool - no admission required. Bring your friends and family and enjoy an evening of fun!

7. Pickleball Tournament, Memorial Park, 6:30pm:  Watch players of all ages and skill levels compete in this fun filled event! The courts will be buzzing with excitement, cheer your friends.

8. Fire Department Mattress Race, Memorial Park, 7pm: Get ready for some high speed hilarity at the Fire Department Mattress Race! Come together for laughs, cheers and a little friendly competition.

9. Baseball Game, Memorial Park, 7:30pm: Step up to the plate and cheer on our local team as they battle it out on the diamond in an action-packed baseball game. From epic home runs to nail-biting strikeouts, get ready for a game that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

10. Street Dance with Analog Vibe Band, Memorial Park 8pm - Midnight: Get your dancing shoes ready for a night of foot-stomping fun at our street dance featuring the incredible sounds of Analog Vibe Band! Join us as we take to the streets and dance the night away to the classic and modern rock tunes of this talented band. With their energetic performance and irresistible tunes, they are sure to keep the party going until the wee hours of the morning.

11. Fairfax C & C Raffle, Memorial Park 10pm: Sign up by 3:30pm Friday to get your name in the annual TV Raffle! Area businesses provide a variety of prizes and the Fairfax C & C will give away a 42" TV. Winners will be announced at 10:00pm. Must Be Present to Win.

Saturday -

12. Antique Tractor Pull, GFW Parking Lot, 9am: Rev up your engines and prepare for a spectacle like no other at our exhilarating tractor pull competition! Watch in awe as powerful machines flex their muscles and pull massive loads with brute force. It's a display of strength, skill, and sheer horsepower.

13. 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament, Memorial Park, 9am: Head over to Memorial Park and watch the action where local teams go head-to-head in face paced matchups! Cheer from the sidelines a local teams show off their display of skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Feel the adrenaline rush as teams compete for victory on the court, showcasing the spirit of friendly competition that defines our community.

14. Community BINGO, Memorial Park, 11am: Get ready to shout "BINGO!" and win at Dayz of Thunder BINGO for ALL AGES! Gather your lucky charms and join us for thrilling games, prizes, and plenty of excitement. With multiple rounds of BINGO fun for all ages, there's never a dull moment as players eagerly await the chance to yell "BINGO!" and claim their prize. Whether you're a seasoned aficionado or a first-time player, come join us for unforgettable fun and games at Dayz of Thunder!

15. Kids Bounce Houses and Petting Zoo, Memorial Park, Noon - 4pm: For our youngest revelers, the Dayz of Thunder offers a world of excitement and wonder with our Kids Bounce Houses and Petting Zoo! Let your little ones' imaginations run wild as they bounce and play in our colorful inflatable bounce houses and for animal lovers, our petting zoo is a must-visit attraction, where children can get up close and personal with adorable farm animals.

16. Open House at the Historic Jail and Pump House, 1 - 3pm: Step back in time and explore the rich history of our town at the Open House event held at the historic Jail and Pump House! Delve into the fascinating past of our community as you tour these iconic landmarks, each steeped in stories of yesteryear. Wander through the old jail, imagining the lives of prisoners and then, venture to the pump house, where the collections of local history still linger.

17. Open House at the Fairfax Depot Museum, 1-6pm: Step back in time and explore the rich history of our town at the Open House event held at the Fairfax Depot Museum! Dive into the fascinating past of our community as you view the historical pieces of our school and community. Join the fun of a Nickname contest!

18. Parade, Downtown, 4pm: Cap off the afternoon with our annual parade, a wonderful display of community pride. Wave to your neighbors, catch some candy, and join in the festive atmosphere as we celebrate the spirit of Dayz of Thunder!

19. Kids and Adult Pedal Pull, Memorial Park, 5:30pm: Rev up your engines and put your pedal power to the test at our Kids and Adult Pedal Pull competitions! Whether you're a pint-sized powerhouse or a full-grown competitor, there's fun for all ages as participants hop aboard pedal tractors and vie for glory in this exciting event.

20. Alumni Softball Game, Memorial Park, 7pm: A fun an nostalgic showdown where past players return to the filed for a friendly game of ball. Whether your swinging the bat or cheering from the sidelines, it's a feel-good event full of local price and community spirit.

21. Street Dance with Muddcat Melby, Memorial Park, 9pm - Midnight: Get your dancing shoes ready for a night of fun at our street dance featuring the incredible sounds of Muddcat Melby! Join us as we take to the streets and dance the night away to the infectious beats of this talented band.

Sunday -

23. Community Worship Service, Lion's Park 10am: Held in the Red Shed at Lions Park, this service provides an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to come together in a spirit of gratitude and unity. The community worship service welcomes all with open arms. Join us as we lift our voices in song, bow our heads in prayer, and find peace in the shared bonds of faith and fellowship.

24. Open House at the Fairfax Depot Museum, 2-4pm: Step back in time and explore the rich history of our town at the Open House event held at the Fairfax Depot Museum! Dive into the fascinating past of our community as you view the historical pieces of our school and community.

25. MN Minn-E-Rods Tractor Pull: For those who enjoy a bit of adrenaline-fueled excitement, the Minn-E-Rods Tractor Pull promises thrills and cheers aplenty. Held at the former GFW Middle School, this event showcases the raw power and precision of modified tractors as they compete to pull a weighted sled down the track. So grab a seat and hold onto your hats, and get ready for some high-octane action!
